The Full Moon in January is called the Wolf Moon.  Because according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, “The wolves do tend to howl more often during winter months, and generally howl to define territory, locate pack members, and gather for hunting”. January 4th and 5th the Earth closest to the Sun

On January 4th and 5th, the Earth was the closest to the Sun.  How close?  The  Earth was roughly 3 million miles closer (or 5 million km) to the Sun than it is in early July. Adult Hockey League Playoffs in Raleigh, NC

My son is playing in an Adult Hockey League,  and they are having their playoffs games at the PNC Arena (home of Carolina Hurricanes) in Raleigh, NC.  His number is double zero (00).
