International Observe the Moon Day

September 26 was the International Observe the Moon Day.  I did my part to observe the Moon in the Southeast sky. The Crystal Coast Stargazers Club setup telescopes at Harkers Island Visitor Center and at the YMCA in New Bern.  Unfortunately, the weather conditions wasn’t the best.  At Harkers Island, the Moon was only visible until 10 PM., then clouds moved in.  And in New Bern it started getting cloudy after sunset.  I was lucky to capture the sunset and the Moon in Bridgeton before it got too cloudy.

Sunset taken at the end of Bridge Street in Bridgeton, North Carolina, USA.

The Moon in Waxing Gibbous 79% taken at the end of Bridge Street in Bridgeton.

Equipment Used:

Nikon D7500

 Nikon DX AF-S NIkkor 55-300mm
