Fort Macon

Fort Macon State Park is a North Carolina State Park in Carteret County, North Carolina, U.S.A. It is located on Bogue Banks near Atlantic Beach.  The State Park was  opened in 1936.  Fort Macon State Park has multiple personalities as the site of a perfectly restored Civil War-era fort, a museum-quality coastal education center and an unspoiled shoreline for swimming, surf fishing and beachcombing.

On the last Saturday of the decade, I drove to Fort Macon for the sunrise.  I used the Nikon D7100 Camera with Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm |4.5-5.6 G E D zoom lens.

The following pictures were taken before the sunrise at the fort and the cannons around the embankment.

Cape Lookout Lighthouse before sunrise and in B&W (black and white photoshop).
