One thing nice living near a military air base, that even now and than Marines Corp jets fly over. The Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point or MCAS Cherry Point is a United States Marine Corps airfield located in Havelock, North Carolina, USA, in the eastern part of the state. It was built in 1941, and was commissioned in 1942 and is currently home to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
The history of VAW-120 goes back to 6 July 1948 when Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron TWO (VAW-2) was commissioned at NAS Norfolk, Va. Their missions included airborne surveillance, ground communication relay, and track management along the east coast. For over forty years, VAW-120 continues to produce the world’s finest aircrew for the essential missions of Carrier-based Airborne Command and Control, as well as tactical Carrier logistics support.
I was working inside and heard the aircraft flying over. I was lucky enough to capture the above photos with my Nikon D7100. I took several picture with different setting modes (modes: M, A, S, P, and auto) to see how they come out. Need time I have to record what mode was used for each photo.

Aperture: f/8
ISO: 560 (Auto ISO)
I used my zoom lens for all the photos (AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6 GED VR), I was able to capture the aircraft with the trees in the foreground.
