The holiday season is upon us. It is the end of November and I decided to practice taking pictures around the neighborhood. The last few mornings the sky been clear. so on the 28th of November I decided to set up my tripod and see if I can capture the moon. I used my Nikon D7100 camera with the Nikkon DX AF-S 55-300mm 4.5-5.6 GED len for moon and around the neighborhood.
The above picture was taken at 07:42:39 on the 28th of November. The Moon was at Waning Gibbous stage at 68%. I setted my Shutter Speed to 1/100; my Aperture to f/10, the ISO to 100. I had my zoom len set to the maximum of 300mm.
On the 29th, I was working in the yard when the Marine Corp Osprey started doing fly over. They practice landing the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, which is 3 miles away. It’s cool watching them fly over my house. One of these days, I am going to drive over the airport to watch them land.
