My wife Michele was in Raleigh for three days this week for business. Her company had meeting in their Morrisville office. You know the old saying, “while the cat’s away, the mice will play”. Or “when the person who is in charge of a place is not there, and the people there behave badly“. I took the dogs to Emerald Isle for a sunset and play date on the beach, that is my way of behaving badly. Always brings my Nikon D7100 camera along hoping to capture a sunset. I decided to use the Nikon Nikkon 50mm f/1:18G lens on this trip. It is difficult enough trying to take pictures while watching two dogs, so didn’t want to worry able switching lenses also. I also had my iPhone 7 plus. Harley loves the beach. I can bring a ball and she will fetch it all day. While Ziva, she hate the beach and sand. Therefore, there isn’t many photos of her at the beach.
It was a beautiful evening at the beach. The water temperature was 77 degrees and air temperature in mid 80’s. You can still see the damage from Hurricane Florence that made landfall a month ago on September 14 near Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington, North Carolina. While my wife in Raleigh for 3 days, so going to the beach is great way to stay out of trouble. The actual time for the sunset was 18:33 (Emerald Isle, North Carolina, USA — Sunrise, Sunset, and Daylength, October 2018).
