Super Moon Phases

The only super moon in 2017 was in December and it is also call the “Pisces Moon”.  When the Moon is found in Pisces, the emotions are likely to be pronounced. Pisces is the final sign of The Zodiac. With the Moon in Pisces, you are likely to be a highly impressionable individual, strongly influenced by the compassionate, creative, imaginative, romantic and idealistic aspects of life. I will not go that far, but I did capture some excellent pictures on Sunday, December 3.  The day start out cloudy, but started clearing up around noon. I should had capture the moon with back drop beside the sand dune, which you do not see.  Some day, I will anchor off of Cape Lookout.  It would had been a nice week for it.  I will have more time in March 2018.

I decided to capture the  phases before the supermoon.  I started on the 25th of November when the moon was in the first quarter at  39%.  You might asked  why start on the 25th of November.  We been having gorgeous that week. The skies been clear and temperatures in upper 60’s to low 70’s, not bad for for the last week in November.  The only day that was cloudy was the 2nd of December (Saturday).  All the picture were taken around sunset, except for one that was taken before sun rise at Union Point Park in New Bern along the water river front.  All the pictures were taken in New Bern, except for the full Pisces Moon, which was taken at Atlantic Beach.  I only editing to the pictures was to add clarity (between 25 to 50 percent depending on the picture).  Thanks for the You Tube video from Joe Edelman, I finally learn how to use a tripod properly.
